This week for Small Business month here at Compustar, we had the opportunity to speak with the team over at Car-Tunes, Inc. in Greenville, Mississippi.

Car-Tunes’ owner since 2001, Kimberly Trainer, gave us a brief history of her company, “Car-Tunes, Inc. was established in 1984, We are at the same location for the past 36 years! We are a MESA (Mobile Electronics Specialist of America) Dealer and are honored to partner with top quality brands like Firstech!”
Under Trainer’s leadership, the team earned the title of, “A Top12 Mobile Electronics Retailer of the Year finalist for 2020 and a Top50 Retailer of the Year for 2019.”
This shop has earned a reputation of excellence in the small community of Greenville, MS that speaks for itself. Kimberly shared that, since their shop is located on the border of three states (Arkansas, Tennessee, and their home state of Mississippi) they frequently have people coming in from across the state lines.
Trainer’s son Dalton has worked with her in the shop since he was 14 years old and has cemented himself as a Compustar expert. Dalton completes all of the remote start installs for the shop, and here’s what Trainer had to say about her son’s work, “Our Head tech Dalton Trainer is also a Top12 Mobile Electronics Installer of the Year finalist for 2020 and a Top50 Installer for 2019.”

Here’s what Trainer has to says about her team’s sales process, “We always customize the final product for the customer – we let them choose the final remote, if they want DroneMobile, and if they want security – they build their own package that’s completely customized and tailored straight to them, not like they just went somewhere and pulled something off the shelf.”
