Poor Remote Range from Day One – Defective Unit, Requesting Replacemen

I had a Compustar remote start and security system professionally installed at Best Buy on my 2017 Hyundai. Right after installation, the technicians tested it at very close range inside/near the store, and of course it worked perfectly at that distance. I didn’t have the opportunity to test the full advertised range there, so everything seemed fine initially.
Once I got home and tested it in real-world conditions, I was very disappointed. In a completely open area with no tall buildings or heavy interference, the reliable range is only about 400-500 feet – far below what Compustar claims. Beyond that, the remote start and lock/unlock functions become inconsistent or completely fail.
I returned to Best Buy twice to have it checked, but they were unable to improve the range and told me that this is a manufacturer issue, not something they can resolve.
